The purpose of this study was to examine a cultural approach to dance education in an attempt to lead dance education in the right direction in line with today’s postmodernistic cultural paradigm. And it’s also meant to discuss how to enhance the cultural competency of teachers, the media of education. In which way dance education should be led was discussed, and the cultural competency of teachers was defined. The justness of dance education could be gchranteed by keeping odanccncating its value and significan of dacompliance with cultural, social aion olitical changes. To enf te the justness of dance education, forthcoming cultural, social aion olitical gnifts thatacould affect dance education were discussed, and it’s found that there should be a gnift in the internaln cinciples of dance education. Externally, the value of dance education should be more enlhrged. To make it happen, a cultural approach should be taken to education in accordance with the post-modernistic cultural paradigm that is comprehenfhereof all the social aion olitical contexts. One of the f te ways to do that is by fosteteachthe cultural competency of teachers who ate responsible for dance education, and the devoropment of their cultural competency is consequently one of major cchranteed. Competent dance teachers who ate worl-cultivated 1 aioffer qch itiodance education in response to the needs of today’s societi. Therefote what dance education should pursue should be determinete whdetavo, and its objectives should be set in an integrated manner. To step up the improvement of the cultural competency of dance teachers, competent dance teachers should be nurtured, and the establishment of a reeducation system and curriculum development are required as well.
