In order to select appropriate third-party logistics (3PL, TPL) service provider in the outsourcing of logistics, a selection model based on BP intelligent neural network was presented in this paper. By designing BP altorithm and using the model, the synthetic evaluation of the TPL service provider performance was completed, and then the appropriate TPL service provider could be selected. Thereafter, the application of the model for the final selction of a provider was demonstrated through an illustrative example. The result of this example shows the methodology is practical to select the 3PL service provider and thus the TPL service provider selection problem can be solved by the method of BP intelligent neural network.
