The use of third-party logistics providers is steadily increasing, according to several preceedent studies over the past few years. To date, however, no study has appeared comparing success factors of the two groups/shippers and third-party providers) in korea so far. Thus the objective of this research is to investigate as follows. First, it derives 6 benefit factors through comprehensive review of various factors which may affect the perceptions two groups. Second, the degree of perceptions for critical success factors between the shippers and third party providers, is tested. Finally the significant correlations between many success factors and the benefits of TPL services are tested. According to the statistical analysis, we find that agree to our hypothesis, the success factors mentioned in this literature positively affect the corporate performance.
The data for empirical analysis of the research model is collected from 190 companies and the respondents for Questionnaire consist of shippers-third party providers.
The theoretical contribution of this study is to derive a comprehensive model of critical success factors for implementing TPL services and empirically test it through field survey with a wide range of data collection. And the practical implication of this study is to present the desirable guidelines for performing TPL services implimentation.
