This study was to make new image of training camps by using leisure spaces to include recreational function through the culturalㆍtourist programs, naturalㆍecological environment in Yanggugun, Gangwondo. First, Yanggugun is positively promoting the development of tourism for preparing tourist and resort complex by getting together with lakes and war resources of the 1950’s Korean War. Second, the recognition of local residents to tourist attractions, publicity activities, facilities, regional results of Yanggugun related to attraction of training teams is below the average. Third, the attractiveness of training camps should be raised to revitalize them and the influence on regional results should be well grasped. Fourth, based on the results of survey on recognition and experts’ opinions, Yanggugun has the problems such as ignorance of tourist resources, lack of publicity activities, fragility of approach to cities, lack of leisure places etc.
Recently, various sport games are often held and training teams are attracted in medium, small-sized cities and counties having less population than the past. At this point, in Yanggugun, various sports games and training teams’ visit continues, but by changing more than the past, to attract more training teams by making them use leisure places in Yanggugun is the regional developmental strategies through sports games all the years.
