Purpose: The purpose of this study is to analyze the participants’perceptions before and after the winter season training based on the factors, facility, accessibility, program, service, surrounding facilities, and local government support.
Method: In this study, the convenience sampling method of non-probability samples was conducted and 350 effective samples were used for final analysis. Also, frequency analysis, paired samples t-test and IPA matrix descriptive analysis were conducted for data analysis.
Results: First, items in quadrant I of the IPA matrix grid steadily needed continuous efforts to ‘keep up the good work’, and 11 factors were found: cleanliness of the training ground, facility management status, the adequacy of space, program of interest, program of appropriateness, program of diversity, composition of program, facilities guide, employee’s service, local governments supporting training facility, local governments supporting training cost. Second, items in quadrant II indicated ‘concentrate here’, and five factors were found: temperature and ventilation facilities of the training ground, accommodation of surrounding facilities, amenities of surrounding facilities, restaurant of surrounding facilities, attraction and operation of local government supporting. Third, items in quadrant III represented ‘low priority’, and seven factors were found: sufficient facilities, geographical accessibility, convenience of public transportation, information brochure of the training ground, infirmary of the training ground, tourist areas of surrounding facilities, local governments supporting manpower training. Forth, items in quadrant IV indicated ‘possible overkill’, and one factor was found: convenience of parking.
Conclusion: In particular, the participants consider that facilities and programs are the most important factor to contribute to the winter season training. Therefore it will be necessary to make an investment in the construction of facilities and to put more effort into programs.
