Lately, Carl-A. Keller published the Calvin mystique that shows us the mysticistic character of the Reformer. It has a significant meaning because our era of 21st century accentuates and requests of the empirical, spiritual and mystic trends in the religion. But it is from the bosom of the ancient Faculty of Montauban that searchs for and illustrates an aspect of the mysticism of Calvin in the first time. We yet remember the Dean of this school, Emile Doumergue and his disciples: A. Duran, author of the first work about the mysticism of Calvin, and J. Cadier, grand calvinologue and future Dean of Faculty of Montpellier. Is Calvin really a mysticist? This paper researchs the aspects of the mysticism, especially in his thought of the faith. According to him, the faith passes over the reason or the intelligence of the man. The faith embraces the truth of God which is revealed in Jesus Christ. The truth is the same of Anselm when he confessed that "I search the truth that believe and love my heal1(Quoero veritatem quam credit et amat cor meum)". Furthermore, there are many mysticistic expressions in his thought of the faith, for example, sacred marriage, sacred and mystic union, incorporation, grafting etc.. But I consider that the mysticism of Calvin is only one of the aspects in his whole thoughts. In his theology, the mysticism exists rather partly than totally, and rather secondly and primarily...
