The purpose of this study is to develope the design of Hansan Ramie clothes focused on Patchwork.
This study will give you a variety of ramie clothes designs applied the sectional organization of a patchwork and analysis of the formative characteristics of patchwork.
So it'll contribute to the globalization and prestigious products of hansan ramie.
For this purpose, this study covers the theoretical background and work production of hansan ramie clothes design applying patchwork.
This study produces nine works of clothes are made of only hansan ramie. Each design of them are made of sleeveless one piece and jacket.
Main parts of these designs are based on the expressive quality, unique and purity of korean traditional patchwork.
Theoretical part deals with meaning of patchwork, symbolism of patchwork, meaning of line, sectional organization of patchwork and formative characteristics of patchwork.
