The purpose of this study is to develope the design of hansan ramie clothes focused on patchwork in korean image.
This study will give you a variety of ramie clothes designs with the sectional organization of a patchwork and korean image of the formative characteristics of patchwork.
So it'll contribute to the globalization and prestigious products of hansan ramie.
For this purpose, this study covers the theoretical background and work production of hansan ramie clothes design applying patchwork.
This study produces seven works of clothes which are made of only hansan ramie. Each design of them are made of pants and skirt.
Main parts of these designs are based on the expressive quality, unique and purity of korean traditional patchwork.
Theoretical part deals with korean image based on the formative characteristics of clothes, characteristics of shape in patchwork pattern, materials of patchwork, color of patchwork.
