The literary production style which the above mainly discriminates after Yu Xin crossed to the North China was based primarily on sorrow, we proposed a word named by “the orphan consciousness , in order that we want to make a location for the later works of Yu Xin. As a general without his country, Yu Xin was forced to be a vassal in a strange land after he got to the North China, we may say that emotions of his work is a kind of “orphaned sad”, similar to a orphan of the history of Chinese literature, who were chanting his sorrow by himself.
In addition，we made a detailed research on the experience of government service in the Xi Wei and Bei Zhou dynasty, and discovered that Yu Xin had never had a high position as the historians had recorded. The most influential comment on the life of Yu Xin came from Yuwen You(宇文?) who was the best friend of Yu Xin, but that man put a varnish on Yu Xin’s family and his life in the North China in the Preface to 〈Collection of Yu Xin〉 with the best intentions. In fact, the positons of Yu Xin in the North China, most of which were nominal posts. As a person who had been omitted from the team, Yu Xin had never penetrated into the centre of the political power in the North China. As a result, in his later years, the character created by Yu Xin in <Collection of Yu Zishan> is an orphan image of a literary man.
On the other hand, the orphan consciousness which we suggested is in fact a kind of affection of Yu Xin’s later works. Because of this affection, Yu Xin made splendid achievements in the history of Chinese Literature and had profound influence on the future generation, and he got mixed reviews because of this affection.
