This paper studies the determinants of the pattern of trade in films. Market size has been recognized as a principal factor in determining the pattern of trade by changing the investments in film production. But market size also affects the varieties of films produced as well as the investments in film production. This study is purposed to analyze the effects of the varieties of films on the trade pattern. This paper analyzed the pattern of film trades in EU in 2003. The results show that the number of films produced is an important factor in determining the pattern of trade. The increased number of films produced in an exporting country increases the market share of the exporting country's in an importing country.
