The corporate governance has been identified by the Chinese government as the core element of the "modem enterprise system". Therefore, the corporate governance issue has been considered as a important problem by the Chinese government for market-oriented reforms of capital market and its continuing reform.
The major findings of this paper is summarized as follows. First, the measures and efforts carried out by the Chinese government in order to improve a corporate governance including state-owned enterprises are studied. Second, this paper presents major problems on establishing a modem corporate governance in China. third, the latest "equity division("Gu Quan Fen Zhi") reforms" performed by China's government for improving a corporate governance are analyzed and evaluated the impacts on the reforms. Finally, this paper draws out prospects by analyzing some problems caused by the latest Chinese government's reforms to improve a corporate governance.
