Volunteerism is an important method to improve the quality of life in local society. Therefore, we are interested in volunteerism in many respects. In case of Kyonggi Province, the level of interest is very low. It is need for us to encourage volunteerism of women.
There are many factors to hinder volunteerism in Kyonggi Province. First of all, the scope of volunteerism is restricted to the social welfare service. For this reason, most of potent female volunteer which consists of high educated and married women will not participate in various volunteerism.
Second, management problem of volunteerism is regarded as a hindrance for woman to participate as a volunteer. Because there are a few special officer to manage woman volunteer in Kyonggi Province. This is an another important factor which keep a volunteer from lasting her activity.
Third, the center for volunteerism prevents female volunteer from participating actively. Insufficient manpower and budget is regarded as a hindrance for volunteer institution.
It is important for goverment to provide various legal and institutional support. Because volunteerism is an important method to improve the quality of their lives in local society.
