The purpose of this study of concentration of malondialdehyde and activation of antioxidant enzymes in baseball athetics. For this purpose, baseball athletics and control group were picked up to be tested to a treadmill running from rest until their entire physical exhaustion. Subject' blood was tested before. immediately after, 10 and 30 minutes after the exercise to be examined. The results of this study can be summarized as follows; It was found out that the concentration of malondialdehyde could be changed on different phases. There were found significant difference of the concentration depending on the length of
elapsed time. As a result of the one-way ANOVA, it was found that recovery 10 minutes after the exercise, all groups showed concentration significantly. The activation of superoxide dismutase could be changed on different phases. The activation of catalase could be changed on different phases: before and right after exercises, and recovery of exercise. There were found significant difference of the concentration depending on the length of elapsed time. As a result of the one-way ANOVA, it was found that recovery 10 minutes after the exercise, all groups showed concentration significantly. Adaptive resonse of changes in MDA level and scavenger Enzyme maximal graded treadmill exercise was found more highly in baseball athletics than in control subjects.
