In this thesis, I aim at investigation at the author’s intention in Chinese poetry connected with 〈Monaeginore〉 in the late Chosun Dynasty through the folk song materials in the collecting of works. The result is followed.
The aspect of matter in Chinese poetry connected with 〈Monaeginore〉 in the late Chosun Dynasty : In the Chinese poetry being occupied by author’s thought, there are the figure of life in farmhouse being observed by author and the author’s satisfaction at life in farmhouse and the lesson being instructed by author and the author’s praise to 〈Monaeginore〉. In the Chinese poetry being occupied by the thought of inhabitant in farmhouse, there are the farmer’s hope for the result of farming and the farmer’s awareness of the importance of farming and the farmer’s pain of farming and the farmer’s talking to another and the woman’s love and woman’s emotion being caused by life in farmhouse.
The author’s intention in Chinese poetry connected with 〈Monaeginore〉 in the late Chosun Dynasty : Between the former times of beginning nineteenth century and the henceforth of that time, the point of sameness is followed. The farmer has hope that he can accomplish obligation and that a young rice plant well grow up. The farmer talks to another farmer and they are equal relationship. The woman falling in love turns inward and she is independent. The woman’s emotion is caused by the member of family that has a feud with her. Between the former times of beginning nineteenth century and the henceforth of that time, the point of difference is followed. In the former times of beginning nineteenth century, the author intends to exclude his intention in the poetry and to describe the life in farmhouse really. After the beginning of nineteenth century, the author’s intention intervene in the poetry. His intention is that he reports the farmer’s pain of farming to the ruling class.
