The main purpose of this essay is to discuss relation between “traditionalism” and “pro-japanese fascist literature”. In particular to target in the 1930's is not just because fascism in Japan was being reinforced at that time but because it was when characteristics of traditionalism were quite clear. But this essay doesn't assume that colonists ethnocentric traditionalism was become resistant nationalism against a ruler. Discussion about tradition in the 1930's contains rather a lot of possibilies to be connected with fascism(particulary modern overcoming thought in Japan). It is widely known that traditionalism in the 1930's is closely connected with the stream of the modern times, ‘overcoming of western modernism’. Traditionalism is a idea to pursue basically making tradition valuable and its necessity means that existing ideas and conception lose their dignity. Tradition at those days was also found in respect to “creation of a new principle” for modern overcoming. It's clear that the reason that discussion about tradition couldn't be absorbed was compulsive situation such as a new system or total offensive system. But discussion on tradition which appeared by taking advantage of the condition that the cognitive foundation on western modernism began to wobble couldn't help being closely linked with Japanese modern overcoming thought.
