The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of walking exercise program of Sleep Disordered Breathing men on sleep apnea syndrome and metabolic syndrome components. The subjects of this study were Sleep Disordered Breathing men (N=9, year=45.2 ± 6.3). Walking exercise program was 3 times a week for 16 weeks. And the change of sleep apnea syndrome and metabolic syndrome components have been measured before and post 4, 8, 16-weeks respectively. As the result of this study, Apnea index, Respiratory disturbance index and Snoring time percentage were significantly decreased after 16 weeks. BW, BMI were significantly decreased after 16 weeks. Glucose after 8, 16-weeks, TG after 8, 16-weeks were significantly decreased. HDL-C was significantly increased after 16-weeks. As to correlation between Apnea index had a significant positive correlation with BMI(r=.741), BW(r=.720), TG(r=.601), SBP(r=,410). The Respiratory disturbance index had a significant positive correlation with BW(r=.69l), BMI(r=.677), TG(r=.523). In conclusion, regular exercise program participation of long terms improve the quality of life with positive effects in sleep apnea syndrome and metabolic syndrome components. Analysis of data suggested a conclusion that walking exercise program is effective to health for Sleep Disordered Breathing men.
