This study is examining relations between personality development and psychopathology as psychological approach, specific models to explain child psychopathology and problem behaviors and factors of developmental disorder and diagnosis, assessment and treatment programs for developmental disordered children. Personality development theory related to developmental disorder is focused on object relations theory and models accounting for developmental disorders are based on two different attitudes of developmental contextualism and developmental functionalism. Accounts for causes, diagnosis and assessment of developmental disorder are focused on autism and mental retardation of major developmental disorders.
Psychology emphasizes emergence and process of developmental disorders and improvement and measurement of test instrument for them, and recently therapy methods are studied with concerns. As developmental disordered children have individually unique characters and disordered behaviors caused by various factors, great efforts are required to improve and apply programs for prevention, education and treatment for them in educational . medical . psychological terms.
