The purpose of this research is to cast more light upon the subject of Koguryo s standard. Truly, the fact that the standard figures in Koguryo tomb murals is a well known. However, until now there has not been much analytical research. The Dang(幢) is representative a standard.
This research concentrate on explaining the Dang in An-ak tomb no. 3. The Dang is ornament for a generals. That s figure is a feather ornament and red colour. In order to do so, I am explaining the ancient Chinas records and archeological data about Dang(幢). I am ascertain that Dang(幢) are appeard on koguryo tomb murals in tomb of An-ak 3(安岳3號墳).
In the view of the results so far achieved, The Dang(幢) is much the same. If that is the case, It is a important materials for study of the military system. Further, I am weigh that its came out how to history of Koguryo. It was used in Koguryo as if ancient China s. Above all, The Dang(幢) of Koguryo has influence to Silla that advanced military affairs system.
