This study aims at clarifying architectural descriptions of Bongsado.
The results are drawn as follows.
1. Architecture in each paintings is not a main subject but a background for figures like Aakeukdon a senior envoy and the King. In order to show up figures, architectural elements like columns and windows are omitted without reality for better view point. Thus the reality of each paintings is rather low, but seems to be more natural.
2. The exact drawing time of each paintings varies from page to page. Although the drawing time was known as last visit of Aakuekdon to Chosun, some of paintings show different seasonal characteristics of the time when Aakeukdon visited Chosun for the second time and Youngjo the Great was appionted as a Crown Prince. (A brother of the King)
3. Rough sketches were done before Jeungyeu accompanying the envoy as a painter, completed all the paintings after they went back to Chung. So there must have been some cultural gaps to interpret some of rough sketches as unrealistic architectural description with Chinese flavour upon these.
4. The arrangment of the paintings must be reordered according to itinerary of the envoy. Thus the correct arrangment of paintings are as follows.
