Images of women in various classes of Weijinnanbeichao period is described in〈Luoshenfu〉and〈Yutaixinyong〉. Contents related to textile as spinning and weaving, silk-collecting, silkworm-raising and clothing including 錦(Jin)·羅(Luo)·綺(Qi)·紈(Wan)·素(Su)·?(Hu)·?(Xiao)·縞(Gao)·紗(Sha)·?(Jian)·綾(Ling) are described diversely. Most of them are expressions related to silk fabrics. Therefore, they are offering a lot of information to studies on silk fabrics.
The purpose of the study is to examine kinds of silk fabrics used for the most part and in dresses of women in Weijinnanbeichao period and to examine characteristics of the silk fabrics by considering verses related to silk fabrics expressed to describe women’s beauty through〈Luoshenfu〉and〈Yutaixinyong〉, anthologies of Weijinnanbeichao period with a lot of expressions related to textile.
The study considered/analyzed the abstracted verses expressing silk fabrics out of poetries focused on〈Luoshenfu〉and〈Yutaixinyong〉.
