This study aims to examine Choi, Jeong-Hee’s〈Inmack〉which dose not deal with the maternity therre but focus on new women’ desire in the series of three〈mack〉in relation to Ji Ha-ryeon’s〈Separation〉series.〈Inmack〉and〈Separation〉series are remarkable at the point that in these works self performance based on lesbianism and desire for copying is important at the course of self formation as a new woman. These works narrate the course that the heroins called by name, new woman copy each other and identify herself with each other in while they obey to or deviate from that (masculine) calling system As a coming into self so her identity not defined with voice herself, the new woman heroine in these works shows the identity performed with rewriting, repetition-quotation man’s discourses on new woman and love.〈Inmack〉and〈Separation〉series is invaluable because these works show the narrative strategy that new women writers newly perform a woman self through rejecting manly discourse dividing new women to obedient wife and corrupted lover, and confirming sameness and desire for copying each other.
