The purpose of this article is to investigate a praxis-centered model of theological education so that it could overcome the dualistic discrepancy between theory and practice for the postmodern society. This article deals with three issues like followings: 1) with the background of postmodern theological education, how can the postmodernity be classified? 2) how can theological education be also categorized in terms of postmodernity? 3) what is an appropriate model of postmodern theological education in Korea so that praxis competence could be enhanced? In more details, the article, first, classified the postmodernity into three types by the different interpretation on "post" of prefix of postmodernity. That is, it called the late modem, countermodern, and radical postmodern approaches which followed Lakeland's account, and then described a corresponding approach to each among practical theologians. According to three different understandings of postmodernity, researcher tried to divide types of theological education into three: dialogical praxis model, spiritual praxis model, and liberating praxis model. Lastly, On the basis of trinitarian understanding called by "perichoresis," the article suggested a "integrated praxis model" of postmodern theological education which can synthesize three different praxis models. It would also be a useful ecumenical approach of theological education in Korea where some extreme disruptions among Christian churches have been happened.
