The article is based on a number of different researches and archive and field resources gathered by the author. It informs about Russian emigrants' life (Cossacs and peasants). They had settled mainly in 1920-1930s in the north-eastern regions of China such as Trehrechye, the territories to the east of Harbin and Chinese Eastern Railroad and had lived till 1950s there. The household activity, the way of life, family relationship, material culture, calendar cycle's ceremonies and spiritual life are characterized. Old and new Russian traditions' ratio in the life of Russians is illustrated. The ethnic structure of the Russian population in the places of settlement is described in detail. The key issues of interaction and cultural exchange between Russian peasants, Cossacs and natives (evenki, orochoni, Chinese) are displayed. The reasons of Russian population's emigration are told about. The attention is paid to the presence of old traditions in the life of Russian-Chinese families' descendants and to the necessity of this population category studying by modern researchers.
