The construction industry has unique characteristics that make it different from the manufacturing industry in some regards. The construction companies in Korea that affect changes in the business environment, not only in the domestic environment but also overseas, prepare various corresponding strategies, including reorganization of their conventional business structures and reinforcement of their business, in order to improve their constitution and have cutting-edge competitiveness.
In order to overcome the constraints of the production method, a new method of placing an order is needed. When the new method is applied in the areas where communication among participants is presently lacking, as well as the conflicting factors between many work sections, or the parts that are hard to manage, it is expected that productivity, the period of construction and quality can be improved.
This paper presents an improved method in the form of a multi-trade subcontract, through reviewing the subcontract method from diverse perspectives, to maximize productivity.
