We emphasized records but made light of oral tradition to study literature and history. And in same reason. we had a very vigorous study about myth made by letters. but felt not quite satisfied about myth by word of mouth. Unlike Korean myth. Jeju is rich in oral myth(epic) from the creation of world(heaven and earth) to the creation of all nature.
Myth was the object of literary study, and it was sometimes regarded as the object of historical study. Myth is a field of literary study in the case of power of expression and configuration. But it is a universal truth and abstraction if we will skim the power of expression and configuration. So we can find a philosophical speculation in myth. Not the more we can find science in myth. There are wild science and wild philosophy before religion control the world with medievalism. I could find a subsistent science and a principle of abundance and woman's productivity to study scientific thought in myth And I could connsider thought of here below and the life beyond. life and death. the fundamental truth of conquest death. thinking about relation time and space. men's destiny to study philosophical speculation.
Modern science and philosophy are not best virture throughout all human history. These have limitations in its own way. We must overcome the limit of modern science and philosophy. if we realize the fact that modern civilization is in the face of danger because of environmental disruption. So we have to take a long hard look at ourselves. and recover science and philosophy in the past. There are science and philosophy for modern haman in the past myth that is handed down oral method. not a record. and oral epic. not documentary literature. New way is opened by combination of the past and modern. wildness and civilization.
