Modernism objectifies the conciliatory desire and simultaneously reveals that the conciliation is impossible in real. Events are temporary matters that come by us momentarily and which disappears all of a sudden. However, since these are not trivial we cannot disregard the importance of them. Even though going through events such as birth, marriage, and death is momentary, they decide our way of life. Therefore, considering on events is of significance in our lives, and spaces of architecture and a city. The urban environment in the postmodernity is composed of numerous series or unexpected events of complex sequences which determine an individual's experiences and life. These events do not follow any logical pattern for they are as discontinuous, as fragmented as postmodern society is. Experiences are assembled in the mind of the individual in order to establish a personal sense of meaning and memory. In this study I draw on the elaboration of the event in architecture and attempt to place such thinking within the contemporary debates in the event space.
