Nowadays, office professionals need newly developed document management system in order to organize important information resources effectively through systematic document management.
The main purpose of this thesis is to research the evolutionary process of document management system and to predict its progress. So, it will provide effective information for office professionals to make a new document management system. To this goal, in chapter 2, electronic document management system in the level of organization is reviewed. And in chapter 3, the document management system for office professionals is researched.
Electronic document management system has limitations for office professional as follows; Firstly, it doesn't include or circulate all the information. It is especially most of the documents treated by offic:e professional of the highest manager in an organization- that cannot be included. This is because of the characteristics and importance of the documents in the organization. Secondly, the highest manager that an office professional assists may dislike exposing his own information, experience and knowledge to others. Thirdly, it is difficult for a small organization to introduce electronic document management system for the organization because EDMS costs a lot of money.
Therefore, because of those three limitations, office professionals assisting the top level manager still need to make document management system themselves. So, office professionals need to apply the methods of document managements to their organizations. And then they need to make a new document management system fit for their organizations.
