This study is for the interpretations to have done Jeju-do a signal-fire name of the Chosun Dynasty. I am usually calling Jeju-do a signal-fire name ‘○○熢 燧(○○signal-fire)’ or ‘○○烽燧(○○signal-fire)’, but a part corresponding to ‘○○’ is to have shown a native tongue place names with transcription of Korean here. Therefore, if the interpretations does not do transcription of Korean well and has read in a Chinese character sound of the day, let a lot of with the original name, and it is fallen off. Moreover, if dirt to register this in a culture inheritance does not consider transcription of Korean and selects only which one during a lot of the ways of transcribing Korean with Chinese characters, the interpretations, and it is registered in, a problem please be with place names the interpretations and becomes it.
This study kept these things in its mind, and I straightened up the a signalfire name which I installed in Chosun Dynasty Jeju, and the interpretations did it one by one. Specially, negative older brother must consider how he puts on the time to show it with transcription of Korean immediately whether currently dirt for the interpretations to do place names notation is with the people what whether any, it is a language to have had what kind of meaning. However, the case that the place name or the linguistic knowledge that the researcher majority to have had an interest in a signal-fire bases on historical knowledge does not consider it is have been many examples. Therefore, it is hard to investigate the original name of a signal-fire.
It is a 18 place, and the a signal-fire which I installed in Jeju in the Chosun Dynasty did it in SejongSillok(世宗實錄), but can confirm a 23 place in SinJeungDongGukYeoJiSeungRam(新增東國輿地勝覽). A signal-fire was a 25 place for the 17th century, but followed by the late 19th century which was time for this 25 place to abolish a signal-fire as it is. The a signal-fire of Jeju was all a 31 place if I united the place that I installed a signal-fire and abolished. However, a 31 place was not operated at the same time. It was called operate a 23 place degree commonly a 25 place in operate and the shipbuilding latter period by at the middle of the Joseon Dynasty.
I all straightened up a signal-fire name of a 31 place in this study and presented a the interpretations sound.
