The purpose of this study was to investigate time variable, angular displacement, and the activation of IEMG through the three dimensional analysis and electromyographic analysis for the speed skaters. To accomplish the purpose of study, Subjects were six female college players in S Women's University in Seoul. Four of them were elite athlete students and the rest of them were beginner students.
Researchers compared to the stroke differences in the lower extremities between the elite athletes students and beginner students. The collected data were analyzed with VCM software. The findings of this study were as follows:
First, athletes player had longer time than beginner players in "the Push-off and Recovery phase. However, the beginner players had longer time than elite athlete players.
Second, athletes players had larger angle degree than beginner players in the Flextion/Extension of Sagittal Plane, Rotation of Horizontal Plane and Lateral Motion of Frontal Plane during Push-off and Recovery Phase. However, there were no differences in the angle degree in the motion of lower limb during Gliding Phase between elite athletes players group and beginner players.
