The purpose of this study was to investigate the distribution of the exercise capacity, WBC and lymphocytes by long-term swimming exercise. The subjects for experiment were randomly ten female. All subjects had swimming exercise that fifty minute per one times, three day per weeks as twelve weeks. Analytical items were aerobic capacity, WBC and lymphocytes count.
All data were expressed as mean and standard deviation by using SPSS/PC program, and to evaluate the difference pre and post swimming exercise, data were analyzed by t-test. t-test range(α=.05)was performed to test the significant levels of differences between pre and post.
The conclusions obtained from this study were as follows;
1. Long-term swimming exercise was significantly increased the VEmax, VO₂/㎏, HRmax, all-out time in after training.
2. The WBC was significantly increased in after training.
3. The lymphocyte, T-lymphocyte and T-suppressor count was significantly increased in after training.
In conclusion, this study suggested that long-term swimming exercise is effectively enhanced partly on response of homeostasis.
