Common sacrificial rites of a village which annually gives respectfully paraphernalia for a sacrifice to a guardian deity of it and prays a peace and abundance of it is the representative rites of Korean common society belief. 4 popular belief is disappearing owing to the development of scientific technology and flow of the spirit of the times day, by day But it may be said that a village rites relatively continues the veins of tradition and steps the process of a change and disappearance gradually. The names of a common sacrificial rites are SunghwangjaeㆍSeonangjaeㆍGolmakee SeonangjaeㆍSansinjaeㆍDodangjaeㆍDangjae, etc according to each locality, however it is mainly called as Dangsanjae in Honam area, soft is representatively chosen in this study.
If the components of a common sacrificial rites of a village is conveniently examined with six W's principles, they are to be classified with first day and hour-times of rites, second a hall of sacrificial rites, third official of rites, fourth a guardian deity and fifth style of sacrificial rites etc. These five components are studied to investigated an aspect of the change and its cause centering the cases of Honam area in this study. But the problem is that there is few treatises recorded about Dangsanjae like custom publication to examine an aspects of the change. It is partially just recorded on 『Burakjae』 of Cho San Ji Soon published in 1937 and 『An on the spot survey of Choson sorceress customs』 of Chuyeopoong published in 1950. It is difficult to find it out in a treatise before them. Thus latest tendency is briefly to be investigated base on credible foundation published in recent.
