The purpose of this research is to clarify the socio-economic feature of residents and physical characteristics of settlements in the area of Residential Environment Improvement Scheme for Inchon.
This also evaluates how much the stabilization of living of the dwellers has been accomplished through the analysis of resettlement procedure in SuYongSoChon area as well as presents the problems and improvements of this scheme.
It says that the Residential Environment Improvement Scheme is applied to the area of low-income residents and small dilapidated shelter.
It also concludes that Multi - family Housing Development in this scheme contributes to the stabilization of living in low-income residents rather than Joint Redevelopment Project.
However, it has been revealed that low-income owners or rental families have a lower ratio of resettlement than the more affordable owners. Accordingly, it is urgent to prepare the program for them. It is required to clear up their econmic burden and insecurity ; firstly, permanent rental housing is inevitable, secondly, loan facilitation for deposit of temporary rental housing is necessary.
