Since the execution of the 7th curriculum, the newly elementary schools, in accordance with it, have involved for students such as special class and other than regular classes in consideration of suggestion. But this resulted in the lack of the budget provided by the following of current standard.
In the study, 10 elementary schools, which were selected as subjects and were located in Gimhae, were newly constructed since the 7th curriculum went into execution.
This study suggested, as proper area for each room, that machine room was 178.86㎡, electric room, 115.23㎡, elevator room, 29.85㎡, EPS room, 58.79㎡, outdoor and indoor storehouse, 69.47㎡, bath room, 624.16㎡, and a total of corridor, entrance, hall, and steps, 3,170.37㎡ which were close to 3,152.43㎡ suggested by school facility center and school environment researchers. In addition, night duty room and storehouse for documents were provided with 33.75㎡ which corresponded to 50% of the basic area of general classroom. Like this, district office of education should provide the area for school facilities in accordance with the conditions of the district.
