Report Errors
This paper is to unearth Shin Chae-ho’s works and to establish his authentic text in Tienku(天鼓) which published at Beijing China in 1921. There are 1921, vol. 1, no.1 and no.2 in Korea. But Tienku 1921, vol. 1, no. 3 is in possession of Library of Beijing University. So it is very difficult for us to see no. 3 and to study it. In this paper, I studied on the unearthing of Shin Chae-ho’s works and the establishment of his authentic text, focused on Tienku. Shin Chae-ho made good use of many pen names.
There are many pen names, so to speak, Dae-gung, Jin-gong, Jeol-goying-saeng, Ah-guan, Cheol-chu, Shin-in, Shin-ji, Cho-min, Se-an, Jin-gong, Ban-myeonsaeing, Nam-myeong, and so on in Tienku. Among this names, Dae-gung, Jin-gong, Jeol-goying-saeng, Cheol-chu, Shin-ji, Jin-gong, Nam-myeong should be Shin Chae-ho’s pen names. Shin Chae-ho registered Shin-ji in articles about Korean old history, Jin-gong in articles concerned with Chinese contemporary and Dae-gung and Cheol-chu in articles concerned with japanese imperialism. Ah-guan is supposed to be Kim Ji-seop’s pen name.
In addition, there are many persons who write Chinese poems in Tienku. Now it is necessary to establish authentic author of poems in Tienku. By unearthing Shin Chae-ho’s works and establishing his authentic text, we should study Danjae more concretely.
