The process of a world view for a human being happens to be reflected through the stories of a marriage with another species. The animism and totemism is a theoretical basis for creating and transmitting interesting and weird stories.
It can be inferred that people believed in blood ties with divine animals, from the concept of supernaturalism and identification about animals at the time of hunting times.
A story of a marriage with another species has a motif in a meeting and farewell of unusual male and female, where the two are sexually related.
Most of the existing studies about "Kyeon-hwon" is related to the "Ya-rae-ia" story, and the main focus was on the birth of ''Kyeon-hwon'', the meaning of a myth, and the cultural anthropological interests.
"Kyeon-hwon" story implies a mythical characteristic, where an extraordinary boy is born from a marriage with "Ya-rae-ja".
This study is to examine the identity, changes, and narrative structure of "Ya-rae-ja" in the "Kyeon-hwon" story, analyzed the existing studies regarding the "Kyeon-hwon" stories, which are comprehensively transmitted throughout the country by mouth and books.
