In the light of historical romance literature, the 18the century had greatly the quality development and the quantity improvement of historical romance with the advent of various story books succeeding to the 「Eo Uoo Ya Dam」all over that period. To understand how the 17th century historical romance book could take an active part in the 19th century, the study of 18th century's historical romance book was inevitable. But the study at that time wasn't active so much. This thesis tried to comprehend and clarify the forming process of 18th century story books. It focused on the situation that the circulating story produced by identical origin came into the various story books of the 18th century in common, examined the specific shapes, and scrutinized the meaning of historical romance. Through the argument of this thesis, it had the conclusion that story writers in the 18th century had a common interest in the popular circulating story at that time, the identical stories was made by the addition and remaking of the writers as well as by the circulating process of stories by mouth. Also, the 18th century story was formed by two parts such as oral tradition and documents tradition, but the way of oral tradition was more common than that of the former documents. When we think this thesis collectively, the 18th story book which two parts of oral tradition and documents tradition could be captured in together have to be the subject of study to identify the forming process of circulating story corresponding to the reality.
