This report observed the some old tales which is being recorded on the 「Moomeungjajip」, a collection of Yungi's works. Yungi was a civil minister of the late period of Chosun. In the Chosun of 18 - 19 century, there were various changes on socio-cultural aspects. The many scholar follower was discussed from literature history, however Yungi, a writer with the pen name of Moomeungja, was not during that time almost paid attention at the degree which will not be colorlessly.
Tries to read his collection of works but, the prose work which distinguishes the impression which is frank regarding the life of passing oneself who is various gets wider from life circumference and simple narrative body back of the allegoric character there is a possibility of coming in contact easily. It reads these work it sees, essay literature of today is same and there is a possibility of feeling the impression which is quite. On this report, before we really investigate Yungi we are going to see his real work.
It saw from, 「Gakyudamgojacheunggiji」 which treats intensively on this report is four talk which the visitor informs. 「The avaricious of human being」 is kind of works which are decorated by being entered the fox and the snake and with the basic axis of the gratitude tales.
The fox and the snake which are a symbol of the animal which is cruel get the rescue of life and they pay the benefit. But the human being which is a sacred place of all things only will go back on a benefit, but also lures the people which holds a benefit in embarrassing situation. It is because the eye is distant in the wealth. Also the reason of the human being confronts to a benefit from before the property and it thanks all to be denied.
Like this subject senses are grasped even from remaining 3, 4. The prose of Moomeungja, so to speak 「Junseul」, 「Tansaedo」, 「Leeseul」 It will be able to confirm concretely. Because Moomeungja simply does not record the talk of the visitor but he records an old tale based on the pernicious evil of the present generation when oneself keeps.
On this work, the problem awareness against the existence of the shabby human being front of materials is spread in basis. The features of the effeminated human being which is exposed to the material with undefended and also a commerce-momentary economy development is shaped through the form of the allegory. In the situation when the money and the material become the center of value judgement, the existing spirit value we take cannot keep above meaning from it. The person (enough the human being) the affirmation of the writer against the statement which is that "the brute is better than the human being" of the snapping turtle person is an expression of frustration to the features of the human being which deteriorates at material value.
