In this treatise, I studied Geum-cho Yun’s Poems in Mimesis Theory. In Yun’s natural lyrical poems, nature is the object of mimesis. In his natural lyrical poems, nature is not practical being that can be experienced in real life but idealistic being.
This nature is the being that is full of lively energy. Things in nature are connected with each others organically. This idealized nature can be the model that poetic subject builds up self-identity by mimicking it. And nature in Yun’s poems is the origin that can reintegrate the splitted society. And it is the principle the poetic subject can be relieved from the ruined actual world.
In Yun’s poems, the mimesis of classic and tradition is found. The mimesis of classic and tradition can be the principle that reintegrate the inner of poetic subject splitted through modernization and industralization. And Yun tries to integrate the inner of poetic subject and be relieved from the ruined actual world by mimicking old story.
