This thesis is a study on the political sense of adaptation and Jo Gi-Chuns's Baekdusan. He occupied an important position of North Korean literature after the 1945 Liberation of Korea. He was so moved by the progress of building up Russian socialism that would act on great power in establishing of north Korean socialism. Jo Gi-Chuns's Baekdusan borrows motive from the 'Baby hero' and it is a construction of the process that a general Kim's heroic character. General Kim is the popular hero who populace is looking forward to the man and he has meaning in exaltation to community spirit.
Jo Gi-Chuns's Baekdusan was adapted from the three-times because of the political objectives of North Korea:(1955 Text, 1986 Text, 1995 Text). To understand meaning of some literature works, we must carefully consider that it is the original work or not. That’s what I want to say. Especially, adaptation of Jo Gi-Chuns's Baekdusan in the North Korea have a political significance and political intention in the Kim Il-Sung.
