The purpose of this study is to find out (i) the ground of establishing the Ji ke Nian Ling(及課年齡) and Shou Tien Nian Ling(受田年齡) of Tien Tu(田土) in the Equal Field System under Pei Wei(北魏) Dynasty, (ii) the peculiar establishment of ‘Nan Fu Shi Wu Yi Shang’(男夫十五以上) as Shou Tien Nian Ling of Lu Tien(露田), (iii) the intention and content of establishing Shou Tien Nian Ling of Lu Tien unlike general Shou Tien Nian Ling of Tien Tu, and finally (iv) the opinion of stemming from interpreting falsely ‘Nan Fu Shi Wu Yi Shang’ as ‘Nan Fu Shi Wu’ (男夫十五).
The establishment of Ji ke Nian Ling was based on every Shou Tien Zhe's(受田者) labour and farming techniques and Ji ke Nian Ling was Nan Fu Shi Wu. Shou Tien Nian Ling of Tien Tu was set on the basis of Ji ke Nian Ling after Ji ke Nian Ling was determined. According to the general establishing criterion of Shou Tien Nian Ling, Shou Tien Nian Ling of Lu Tien had to become ‘Nan Fu Shi Wu’, but it departed from its general establishing criterion because it was established as ‘Nan Fu Shi Wu Yi Shang’.
The reasons why Shou Tien Nian Ling of Lu Tien was established like this are regarded as the follows: It took Shou Tien Zhe’s Di Xia Zhi Chu(地狹之處) into consideration, Lu Tien was not filled up in Di Xia Zhi Chu though the Shou Tien E (受田額) of another Tien Tu was filled up in any regions, and Lu Tien could not be reduced though the Shou Tien E of another Tien Tu could be reduced. And also it was for determining Shou Tien Shun Xu(受田順序) of Tien Tu, for arranging Shou Tien Shun xu of Tien Tu in Sang Xiang(桑鄕) and Ma Xiang(麻鄕), and for increasing the revenue. Moreover, it implied various intentions and contents, such as being able to manage the Equal Field System legally even in Di Xia Zhi Chu, preparing for Shou Tien Bu Zu(受田不足), and as determining Shou Tien Di Yu(受田地域) and Shou Tien Ji Zhu E(受田基準額) through Shou Tien E of Lu Tien.
Finally, it was found out that the misunderstanding of ‘Shou Tien’ and ‘Shou Tien and Ke(課) of Lu Tien’ in the Equal Field System under Pei Wei Dynasty came from the cause that the traditional scholars on the Equal Field System misunderstood Shou Tien Nian Ling of Lu Tien, ‘Nan Fu Shi Wu Yi Shang’ as ‘Nan Fu Shi Wu’.
