The theoretical paradigm to interpret the world and nature is an indispensible apparatus for a logical explanation of present phenomena. In this case, the form on which the interpreter depends is what the (thinking) subject provides for the objects. In the premodern East Asian thought, however, the yin-yang theory was considered the very principle inherent in nature and cosmos functioning in order, distinct from a mere formal apparatus to decipher the external world. The purpose of this study is reconstruct the philosophical system basing on the traditional Chinese way of thought, i.e., the yin-yang theory. The Book of Changes serves as the most appropriate text for this selected topic. It seems that the premodern Chinese has conceptualized the relationship between part and whole from a unique perspective. In order for them to transcend the logical antinomy inherent in their basic premise that the part is equivalent to its whole, the Chinese utilized the concept of negation. Of course, it is not the negation of the world, but of his own self. Truth was defined in a way where the corrupt ego searches for the pure and innate "I." Since that I is someone who was created by heaven, the I exists as s/he originally was. But the road to that lost I is beyond words, beyond concepts. Only silence and contemplation remain.
