'The topic of this thesis is a review on the encountering formular and pedagogical methodology in modern context through semiotics. In this thesis, I will think out a methodology of Semiotics which contribute to a transformation of encounter-formular in cultural situation. And I will also introduce a new model of cultural encounter in the Missiology.
Reflecting upon these models in Semiotics and Missiology, I want propose a new model of the pedagogical methodology as the ground for searching a new educational style in christian college.
First, as a glance over Seimiotics, a situation as culture is not only by Subject In the encounter situation, the Other is not so mere Object. Object is not to be passive. When they encounter, all the Subject and Object participate in forming a situation. Not only the Other but also the se1f(subject) as counterpart put a question to each other.
Second, a new model in missiology is Konvievenz. The term of Konvievenz is used by Deo Sundermeier. It is the place in which we can rm:t with Others. We can also learn each other there.
In conclusion, we must consider modem situation in which christian tradition meet with Other who has another religious and cultural tradition to be important and renewal. And we must think about a new approach through which we can learn each other. In order to propose a new model of encounter with the other, we ought to allow Other to be another Subject. At the same formular in the lecture of christian college, we need to communicate mutually with students(Other, Subject) who has postmodern mind and who make private space important and demands new mutual encounter model.
