This study is about King Uijong's making the rounds outside of the main palace, Cijong had the policy that strenthened and valued the military power in his early reign. So he often went to Myotong temple that held a memorial service of J\Jarici-the guards of soldiers, and enjoyed playing 'Gyeokgu' or watching it in Suchang Palace and Jangvvon Palace. The press officials protested strongly against the policy several times, So Uijong in the midclle of his reign changed his policy imo adrninistration by civilians.
Uijong in his late reign managed the lots of detached palaces, and he made the rounds of many temples of several denominations with trying to balance them. At this time civil ministers, the press officials and the King enjoyed the party of writing a poem with food and drink. military officials and soldiers who had complaints about the situation carried out the coup d'etat of the military.Uijong's making his rounds of the detached palaces and temples was complicateclly effected by the Yinyang Theory and the consciousness of decline and restoration of the dynasty. It made the King prefer making his rounds of the eastern and the southern regions, Especially he desired earnestly for 'Mu' and concentrated on managing the detached palaces in the east and often went there.
