It is very important to consider the cost and accuracy in order to execute a process control at auto part production.
The total cost to be incurred to control the process at auto part production by a control chart is the sum of the cost of process control and the loss due to an assignable cause or a lack of accuracy.
But this total cost are affected by sample size, control limit, and frequency of sampling. Furthermore the control limit is very closely related to the sample size and the accuracy of process control.
In this point of view, this thesis intended to determine the limit of control chart with variable sample size in order to control the process economically, or to control the process on a minimum total cost at auto part production.
As a result, it was found that the economical process control of auto part production can be executed if we use the ratio of the expected value for the range of before and after the sample size are changed.
