This thesis is a consequence that I reread as a 'feminism narrative analysis' by 5·18 literature which is estimated a phallic narrative in our history of literature. The purpose of this thesis is to reanalyze achievements and problems in 5·18 literature by observing some features in 5·18 novels. While the 5·18 male writing show the reality based on social conflicts, considered as a whole, novels in the female writing deny this wholeness and reveal the various conflicts hidden in everyday life-various levels of oppressed female experience, peculiar female situations and a more progressive interpretation of 5·18 issues- which requires a more sophisticated awareness to understand such novels.
5·18 literature have had various kinds of writing strategies, writing the body which shows female circumstances ; and polyphonics writing which seeks to open relationships with other people and world. These various writing styles in 5·18 female writing can reveal an 'otherfeminity' on how and where our literature should develop.
5·18 literature, which have become very complicated, should open a new chapter to go. To do this, 5·18 literature have to keep a distance from the sugarcoated desire disguised as liberation on one hand, and get out of isolation by finding the way to communicate with society, reality and history on the other. It can be said that this awareness related to an aesthetic point of view can provide female writing with significance in literature.
