The purpose of this study is to investigate whether the cooking experience of the food service cook can affect self - esteem, psychological stability and interpersonal relationship.
Based on the theoretical background study of cooking career, self-esteem, psychological stability, and interpersonal relationship, hypotheses were set and empirical analysis was conducted.
The questionnaire was done by the self - filling method by the cooks themselves.
In this study, the measurement tools for measuring variables are the measurement tools used in the previous studies.
Partial items were revised and supplemented according to the purpose of the study.
A total of 300 copies of the questionnaires were distributed. I excluded seven copies of the fraudulent replies. A total of 293 copies were used for empirical analysis.
Data were analyzed using SPSS 24.0 program and AMOS 24.0 program.
The results of this study are summarized as follows.
First, the relationship between cooking history and self - esteem was examined. The cooking career of cooks was significantly related to self - esteem. The higher the cooking experience of a cook, the higher the self - esteem.
Second, as a result of verifying the relationship between the cooking career of the cook and the psychological stability, the cooking career of the cook has a significant influence on the psychological stability.
Third, as a result of verifying the relationship between cook history and interpersonal relationship, it was found that cooking history of cook was not related to interpersonal relationship.
Fourth, as a result of verifying the relationship between self -esteem and psychological stability, it was found that self - esteem had a significant influence on psychological stability.
Fifth, as a result of verifying the relationship between self -esteem and interpersonal relationship of cook, it was found that self-esteem of cook has a significant influence on interpersonal relationship.
Sixth, as a result of verifying the relationship between psychological stability and interpersonal relationship of cook, the psychological stability of cook was found to be related to interpersonal relationship and significant influence.
The implications of this study are as follows.
First, it has the theoretical implication that the cooking career of the cook prepares the academic foundation for the relationship between self-esteem, psychological stability, interpersonal relations.
Second, this study suggests that human resources management
should be done by cooking history of cook. Third, the interpersonal relationship, which is a result of the psychological factors of the cook, was applied to establish the foundation of the discussions about the cooking history of cooks from a multidimensional point of view.
Fourth, human resource management considering psychological factor of cook should be done.
Fifth, interpersonal relationship of cooks should create the environment of food-service companies considering psychological factors.
