The purpose of this study was to explore causal relation of children’s negative emotionality, mother’s rejective parenting, teacher-children conflict and children’s emotion regulation on children’s aggression. The subjects of the study were three- to five-year-old kindergarten children(N=304), their mothers and their teachers who lived in Pusan. For data analysis, frequency, Cronbach ?, Pearson’s correlation coefficients, structural equation were used. Collected data were used analyzed by the PASW Statistics 18.0 program and Amos 21.0 program.
The major findings of this study were as follows:
First, children’s anger/frustration had an indirect effect on children’s aggression through mother’s rejective parenting and teacher-children conflict and children’s emotion regulation
Second, Mother’s rejective parenting had an indirect effect on children’s aggression through children’s emotion regulation.
Third, Teacher-children conflict had an direct effect on children’s aggression and had an indirect effect on children’s aggression through children’s emotion regulation.
These finding suggest the importance of mediating effect of mother’s rejective parenting, teacher-children conflict and children’s emotion regulation between children’s anger/frustration and aggression. In conclusion, this study provides the implication to develop preventive intervention for children’s aggression.
