Abstract
The purpose of this study is to find the effectiveness of CEP (Care Enhancement Program) on disability acceptance and altruistic behavior of elementary school students.
To achieve these purposes, the followings are detail research issues in this research.
1) The effect of CEP on disability acceptance of elementary school students.
2) The effect of CEP on altruistic behavior of elementary school students.
We set 2 test groups for this research. The first test group is performing CEP and the second group is controlled to be without any education.
Results were examined statistically with SPSS18.0, and to verify the effect of the treatment, independent t-tests and paird t-tests were used.
The results were the following.
First, CEP improved disability acceptance behavior of elementary school students. There''s statistically significant difference between test group and control group, and in cognitive domain, emotional domain, conductive domain those are sub-domain of disability acceptance, also showed significant difference. (CEP improved student''s ability of understanding others, feeling sympathy, and considering other''s feeling, so that disability acceptance behavior were also enhanced.)
Second, CEP can''t improve altruistic behavior of elementary school students. After performing CEP, there''s no statistically significant difference between test group and control group. Additionally, there''s no distinct difference in altruistic behavior between before and after of test group.
