This study is to analyze how the general teaching experiences of the special class teachers who possess general teaching experiences affect their roles as special class teachers. For the specific topics, the first is what positive effects of general teaching experiences on roles of special teachers are and the second is what the difference between roles of general teachers and special teachers is.
Six special class teachers owning general teaching experiences had been selected to be examined through interview and email survey. The collected data were studied in the manner of quality analysis and the results of the analysis are as follows.
First, the experiences as general teachers helps to understand general teachers and general students in the integrated classes. Second, the general teaching experiences allowed better understandings of the reality of the integrated classes and collaboration with general teachers. Third, based on the general teaching experiences, it was possible to support special students as professional teachers. Finally, the general teaching experiences reminded the memories as general teachers while performing the roles of the speical class teachers.
