This study investigates the emotional and psychological challenges faced by students who have witnessed school violence and examines how physical activities can be utilized to foster resilience and promote recovery. The analysis indicates that although these students are not direct victims, they often suffer from emotional distress, including anxiety, low self-esteem, and difficulties in peer relationships— issues that may negatively affect both their academic performance and social functioning. Physical activities were shown to offer more than just physical benefits; they contributed significantly to emotional regulation and social connectedness. In particular, team sports such as soccer and basketball helped students rebuild self-confidence, experience a sense of belonging, and develop cooperative relationships. Based on these insights, it is suggested that schools and communities implement recovery-oriented programs that incorporate physical activity to provide witnesses with opportunities for healing and growth. Such an integrated approach could help turn adverse experiences into developmental resources and strengthen the overall wellbeing of the school environment.
